Cory Bros was founded in 1906 by the Cory family. Cory Bros advertisements for bed pans, bandages and dressings appeared in the Suffragette and The Times newspapers, both before and after, the First World War. The business remained localised until the early 1970's when the company, under new ownership, developed in to the field of gynaecology. The 1980's saw further expansion into electrosurgery, sharps safety and towards the end of that decade, into laparoscopy. In 2000, Purple Surgical was also established in order to sell the Cory Bros range of products internationally. At present Purple Surgical sells these products in over 70 countries via a network of over 90 distributors. Cory Medical was established in 2002, our 55,000 sq ft state of the art manufacturing facility, based in Taunton, Somerset. During the course of the last six years Cory Bros has developed an extensive, high quality, single use laparoscopic product offering to compliment our well established Theatre Essentials, Uterine Aspiration Essentials and Safe Sharps Management product ranges. Today, Cory Bros is a privately owned British company that is ideally placed to serve the best interests of the surgical team, with a complimentary range of high quality, cost effective single use instruments and devices. |
